Damian easily took notice of Colin’s sudden demeanor change and followed him with his eyes. And as soon as Colin got into bed as well, he turned his head slightly to look at the other, noticing that the other boy wasn’t even bothering to look back at him. “What is it, Colin?” he asked. There had to be a reason for the sudden change, and he wanted to know.

Colin blinks and he subconsciously hugs the teddybear a little tighter as he turns his head to glance at Damian. “Nothing. Just…tired, I guess.” He offers a small smile, before loosening his hold on Rory and shifting to lie on his side instead. Yeah. He’s really tired, after all, so maybe that’s why he’s feeling so weird? 

Damian wanted to just reach over and make Colin look at him, not fully believing what he was saying. There had to be more to it. It was too sudden for it to be because he was tired. But instead he just turned his head back to look up at the ceiling, unable to bring himself to pursue it any further. Colin wasn’t the only one who was feeling a little off.

He stares at the teddybear in his arms for a long while, thinking about all the strange feelings fluttering around inside. They’re not a bad strange. Not at all. In fact, they feel rather…good. But Colin just can’t figure out what they are or why they’re making him feel like this.

…Maybe some sleep will help. He closes his eyes and snuggles a little further down under the sheets with a soft sigh, trying to make himself go to sleep. 

But for some reason, he’s finding it really, really difficult.
